| An
artist or sculptor will tell you
that the face is made up of a
complex series of contours, prominences,
and depressions. The primary facial
prominences are the nose, chin,
and cheekbones. When there is
balance and harmony between these
features, the overall look is
likely to be attractive. However,
when the chin is weak, the cheekbones
flat, or the nasal profile too
low, there is usually a compromised
visual result. Augmentation of
the particular feature that is
out of balance
can dramatically improve your
overall appearance.
If you
suspect that any of this applies
to you, a consultation with Dr.
Friedman can help analyze your
facial balance and harmony. Computer
imaging
is especially useful here in showing
just how changes in any of these
three prominences may improve
your appearance. Seeing photographs
of other patients who have undergone
augmentation of these features
can also help you decide if such
a procedure may be appropriate
for you.
